03. MESH - Workbench 1.0

Set up all Cast Corner Brackets in your kit as described:

Upon building the Light Workbench:

Cap Head Screw M6x12

3030 Drop-in T-Nut M6

Upon building the Standard Workbench:

Cap Head Screw M8x16

4040 Drop-in T-Nut M8

Set T-Nuts into position, but do not tighten them just yet.

Consult the table and separate your profiles in 3 groups, by length: A, B and C

Note that V-Core Workbenches have shorter legs than all other workbenches. Older versions may have longer legs than newer ones (for example, 880mm or 700mm)

Assemble 2 side frames by fitting the T-Nuts inside the slots and tightening the screws on the Cast Corner Brackets.

CAUTION: if you're using levelling feet, you will notice that one end of each A profile is threaded, so you can screw in the feet. Make sure you orient those profiles so the threaded ends are at the bottom.

Make sure your side frames are perfectly square after assembly. Easiest way to check this is to measure the diagonals of the frame, they should be the same length. If they're not, untighten the screws and adjust.

On the variants Workbench - Standard 1510 and 1515, the top B profiles are 4080 instead of 4040 (they have double the width shown on the picture).

Take note of how the profiles should be joined.

Attach Cast Corner Brackets to the remaining profiles, as pictured, and connect them to the side frames by fitting the t-nuts inside the slots and tightening the screws.

Depending on your Workbench variant, you will have more or less C profiles. Adjust assembly accordingly and consult the table on the second image to understand how many profiles should be used at the top and at the bottom.

On the variant Workbench - Standard 1515, these 2 profiles are 4080 instead of 4040 (they have double the width shown in the picture). They should also use 4 additional corner brackets, connecting them to the top horizontal profiles.

The table top is not included in your kit, you will have to source it and have it cut locally. Check the table to identify table top dimensions for your specific Workbench size. We suggest sourcing a 20mm thick MDF board.

A Power Drill with drilling bits for wood of different diameters will be needed for this step. You will drill counterbore holes around your table top and place a screw with a T-Nut on each hole. Placing of the holes is left at your discretion. For larger workbenches, you may want to have some fixation points at the center too.

Workbench - Light / V-Core / V-Cast

Distance from table top edge to hole center: 15mm

Drill a through-hole with a 6mm drill and then make a counter-bore with a larger drill, to create room to lodge the screw head.

Workbench - Standard

Distance from table top edge to hole center: 20mm

Drill a through-hole with an 8mm drill and then make a counter-bore with a larger drill, to create room to lodge the screw head.
