If you crimp JST XH for a SKR board, make sure you use the correct wrench!

These 2 look almost identical, but while yellow is good for JST XH, orange smashes it. Their listings at Amazon have the same price and very vague descriptions.

Find one with two notches. The wrenches have an adjustment screw with plus and minus. If wires are too loose, turn one notch to plus. If they come out crooked, turn one notch to minus.

This one is narrower - good.

This one is for the longer clamping section of Dupont crimps.

Watch out: the bracket has a wide and a narrow half. Make sure the hook is unharmed.

At first, press only two clicks so the pin is fixated in the wrench.

Don‘t remove more than 3mm insulation

Push in gently, press wrench

A perfect crimp. The first clamp holds the plastic, the second only wire. The round clutch is unharmed.

4mm is fine
