IF you are building the IDEX version of the printer, there is a Waveshare USB hub that goes on the Raspberry Pi (shown here - 15. IDEX Accessories), but which would be much easier to do now rather than deinstalling it later.
Anyone know why all the way back in 09. RatRig V-Core 4 Toolhead - IDEX the hotted cooling fans are aligned differently for the two heads?
And be prepared to take the toolboard back off again when you come to wire it up in the electronics section as getting the hotend wires in place otherwise is almost impossible.
The picture shows the high-flow adaptor already in place - mine was not, but it needs to be, so sort it out now.
Seriously consider sorting out the wiring for the Rapido at this point - 12. Electronics - as it is much easier to apply tiny crimped connectors on the workbench now.
This is a good time to see if the belt is held firmly. If not, try again (and for me, again and again).
And remove the small plastic flange that retains the cable so that it can come out to the side.
Seriously consider preparing the fan wiring at this point - before you mount it - 12. Electronics
Good time to double check that you have the T0 head - the belt passthrough slot at the back is not the same and swapping them later is not fun.
Take care to align the heat set insert to the slope of the hole.
Take care to clear the sacrificial layer - it is hidden at the bottom of the heat insert hole!
If you are considering using an Orbiter sensor v2 then this is the time to print the modified version of the toolboard (https://www.printables.com/model/1073413...).
Consider drilling out the 3mm screw holes in this piece - they are tight and threading the long screws all the way through is tedious.
