It is recommended to have the following tools available for assembling the V-Core 4:

Allen Key / Hex Wrenches in the following sizes: 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm

Wire cutters & a wire stripper

Tape measure or calipers

Crimping tool (JST-XH, Molex-Micro fit and 18-14AWG Fork + Spade terminals)

Cross slot / philips and flat screwdrivers

7mm, 8mm combined wrenches

Rat Rig provides an extra parts bag (HW3694MK), which contains various spare parts that are easily lost or damaged. You are encouraged to use these spare parts as needed during assembly or maintenance.

Remove the AGAD parts (Anti Gravity Assistance Device)

Rat Rig avoids supports at all costs, so we're introducing the AGAD as this printed part needs to have a very precise overhang.

Heat Insert
-
Place the heat insert in the designated hole

Align the soldering iron with the heat insert
-
Be careful not to burn yourself!

Slowly press on the heat insert down.

Ensure the heat insert is flush with the printed part, or even a little deeper.

Avoid having a heat insert higher than the printed part, this can cause assembly issues.

Remove the soldering iron.
