I used a ripped-up piece of receipt paper to slip through the outgoing end to use to pull the belt back out
The nut holes were very tight for me, so I took a large hex driver and lightly hammered them into place
instead of flipping the frame upside down, I put it on its side. This avoided the carriages from slipping off
The ”M3 nylon hex locking nut” is the bag called just “hex locking nut M3”. The nuts are metal, they just have a nylon insert to lock the screw
